Not really. This place is only 10 minutes out of Rome where they sell organic food, offer horse-riding lessons and restaurant which serves food that they produce.
It was our first time there and it feels as if you are somewhere in Umbria or Tuscany. The final stretch of the road going there was unpaved but very manageable. Surprisingly, when we got there, the parking area was rather full and fortunately we found a decent parking space.
They had a small grocery shop which sells vegetables, cheeses, wines etc as well as fresh meat. The selection isn’t as wide as what I found in the market near Circo Massimo but the food they sell is all organic. Price wise, some things were more expensive but also some were cheaper.
I have to say their ricotta di pecora (ricotta cheese made with sheep’s milk) and their yogurt also from sheep’s milk is super good. There were many people there and in the confusion we totally forgot to buy lamb which I’ve been told is very good.
Oh well, next time but it’s nice to know that you can find the beauty of Central Italy just 10 minutes out of Rome.
